Baton Rouge, LA - The Southern University Lady Jaguars fell to the Lady Colonels of Nicholls State University 6-0 in the home opener. "The team played hard but some mistakes were made," said head coach John Knighten. Nicholls took a 4-0 lead before half-time then scored two more goals in the second half to take a 6-0 victory. SU's goalie Kendall Smith recorded seven saves. Southern will travel to Natchitoches, LA on Sunday to take on the University of Tulsa on the Northwestern State University soccer field. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
