LADY JAGS FALL TO WILLIAM CAREY

Baton Rouge, LA - The Southern University Lady Jaguars soccer team fell to William Carey University 9-0 in exhibition action tonight.

William Carey's Shayna Turner led the team with three goals while Aimi Beresford scored two.

"This game was a tune-up for us before the start of the regular season," said head coach John Knighten. "The team played hard but we have more work to do." Southern's goalie, Nakesha Rolle, recorded five saves for the Blue and Gold.

SU will begin the 2008 regular season on Friday, August 22nd at A. W. Mumford stadium. Southern will host the Nicholls State University Lady Colonels to a 6:00 p.m. contest.
